Skin Deep Beauty & DIY: Honey, Nutmeg, Cinnamon Spa Face Mask

Is the changing weather stressing out your skin? I found a secret DIY mask that will be like giving a dose of Xanax to your face! The combination of these everyday ingredients will not only sooth and calm your skin but it smells absolutely delicious!

The nutmeg and honey are natural anti-inflammatory ingredients that will reduce swelling and redness, calm acne scarring, and prevent infections in skin. The nutmeg and cinnamon are natural exfoliants that will leave your skin soft and smooth.

To make this miracle mask, combine:

  • 2 Tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

Once mixed, the consistency will be a thick paste and the color will resemble a newborn’s diaper but I am telling you… it is so worth it! Apply the mask to your face. Avoid your eyes and any really sensitive areas. It will drip so make sure that if you have clothes that you do not want to get dirty to put a towel across your chest. Let the mask sit for 30 minutes and then wash it off with warm water by softly rubbing in circles in order to exfoliate. When I do this mask, I light some candles, draw a bubble bath, and read a good French book. This mask will leave you feeling refreshed and smelling wonderful!

**Before you begin, it’s always a good idea to do a small test with homemade mixes on your skin to make sure you do not have a bad reaction to any ingredients.**
